Neolytica Celebrates First Anniversary at PITTCON 2003
ORLANDO, Fla. (USA) - March 10, 2003

Neolytica (www.neolytica.com), a Web-enabled, single point of contact for outsourcing and contracting analytical testing services, marks its first anniversary at PITTCON ® 2003 in Orlando, Fla., March.9-14. Since its inception, Neolytica has proven its value as a commercially viable resource for outsourcing analytical testing. Built on a customer-centric business model, Neolytica provides comprehensive analytical testing services, enabling customers to better leverage capital, equipment and personnel. Consequently, customers are able to more efficiently allocate time and resources to concentrate on core competencies.

"Neolytica’s goal of enabling customers to improve business performance through cost reduction, more efficient resource allocation and effective data management has been swiftly and successfully met," said Steve Gregory, Chief Operating Officer, Neolytica, Inc. "Maintaining a focus on the ever-changing needs of customers and developing innovative solutions to cost-effectively meet those needs will help Neolytica build on the strong foundation it has established in the past year, and define a clear path for future outsourcing advancements."

Since its introduction at PITTCON 2002, Neolytica has enhanced its service offering in a variety of ways, developing technology that better enables companies to realize the full range of benefits derived from outsourcing. An arrangement with Thermo Electron was signed in October 2002 to deploy its Nautilus™ LIMS solution via the application service provision (ASP) model and by mid 2003, Neolytica LIMS-ASP will be fully operational. This innovative solution eases the accessibility and management of analytical data for Neolytica customers, providing access to world-class software without the need to secure costly licenses, purchase hardware or employ expensive support resources.

To better meet the needs of its growing customer and supplier base, Neolytica has developed a number of new services and enhancements to its commerce site. It has also established relationships with numerous organizations in the analytical industry to enhance its resource offering; MSDSOnline, ASTM International and the NIST Chemistry WebBook are among the latest additions. By integrating MSDSOnline, Neolytica provides customers with a continually updated collection of approximately 600,000 Material Safety Data Sheets. The NIST Chemistry WebBook is also available through Neolytica, providing customers with easy access to chemical and physical property data for chemical species through the Internet. Furthermore, customers and suppliers can benefit from Neolytica’s relationship with ASTM International, a global forum for the development and publication of voluntary consensus for standards for materials, products, systems, and services.

"With all the pressure that companies are facing related to cost containment, capital spending and resourcing, they are finding it necessary to develop viable strategic outsourcing initiatives to meet their current and future needs," Gregory said. "As companies rely more and more upon outsourced analytical solutions, Neolytica will continue to build its infrastructure, services, commerce tools and staff of high caliber specialists, enabling it to grow in-sync with demand and to streamline the outsourcing process."
